Permitting Manager

Role: Team Lead – Permitting Manager (Solar / BESS)
Location: Germany (Remote)
Salary: Up to €120,000 DOE

A leading renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Permitting Manager to lead their permitting team across Germany.

This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape and drive the success of major Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from early-stage development through to construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the permitting team, providing guidance and oversight on permitting processes.

  • Oversee all permitting activities for large-scale renewable energy projects in Germany.

  • Manage relationships with local authorities, stakeholders, and external consultants.

  • Ensure compliance with planning regulations and permitting requirements.

  • Support project development strategy, working closely with technical and commercial teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in securing permits for large infrastructure or renewable energy projects in Germany.

  • Strong understanding of German planning and environmental approval processes.

  • Leadership or team management experience (or demonstrable capability to step into a lead role).

  • Experience in renewables, commercial, or industrial permitting will be considered.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
